First Trimester Report Cards Sent Home December 2nd

First Trimester Report Cards were sent home on Tuesday, December 2. These report cards provide an important opportunity to review your child’s progress and celebrate their growth so far this school year.

Teachers have been working hard to assess students’ academic achievements and classroom participation across all subjects. We encourage parents and guardians to take time to go over the report card with their child, discuss strengths and areas for improvement, and set goals for the months ahead.

Grades are now available for parents to view in the Parent Portal.

Let’s continue to work together to support every student’s success as we move into the second trimester!

W.A. Johnson End of Trimester Celebrations

W.A. Johnson Elementary School really knows how to celebrate the end of a trimester! Each grade level came together during their specials period (music, art, and P.E. classes) for a variety of fun activities where classes got to face off in friendly competitions. Students had a blast cheering each other on and showing their school spirit. The star students of each grade were also recognized for their hard work and achievements. It was a wonderful way to wrap up the trimester and highlight all the progress students have made. Students left feeling proud, energized, and ALL IN for what’s ahead next trimester.

ALL IN: Blackhawk Honors 350+ Students for Strong Attendance

At BSD2, it’s important that we are ALL IN on attendance, and Blackhawk is taking that commitment to the next level. More than 350 students were recognized for achieving over 96% attendance during the first trimester, and tracking will continue throughout the year. Students received certificates and $25 Blackhawk bucks for 96% attendance or higher during the first trimester! To keep students motivated, Blackhawk has introduced a friendly competition, whichever grade level ends the second trimester with the highest on-time to class percentage rate will earn a special hot chocolate and music period.

We want to remind everyone that consistent attendance is essential to student success. If you need support, please reach out to your school administration offices—we are committed to supporting your student’s education!

Pre-K on the Runway!

Our Pre-K students rocked the runway at their fashion show! They showed off their awesome homemade brown-bag designs and all the poses they’ve been practicing. The audience cheered loudly for every little model as they strutted down the runway. Families got to come in to watch and snapped lots of photos to capture the special moments. The kids were beaming with pride as they showed off their creations. It was a fun and memorable day that celebrated their creativity and confidence!
