Message from the Superintendent

Dear BSD2 Families and Staff,

Spring Break is here! We hope this time brings lots of relaxation, laughter, and special moments with family and friends. It’s a great opportunity to unwind, recharge, and enjoy a well-deserved break.

We can’t wait to welcome everyone back on Tuesday, April 7th, refreshed and ready to finish the school year strong!

Wishing you a fun, safe, and happy Spring Break!

Walk-In Kindergarten Registration

W.A. Johnson Elementary School and Tioga Elementary School will host walk-in kindergarten registration on Tuesday, April 7, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Walk-in registration is being offered so incoming kindergarten students can complete their required kindergarten screening while families finalize registration for the 2026–2027 school year.

Registration will be available at the following locations:

  • Tioga Elementary School – 212 W. Memorial Road
  • W.A. Johnson Elementary School – 252 Ridgewood Avenue

Is your child currently enrolled in our pre-k program?

Returning BSD2 Student Registration for the 2026–2027 School Year Opening on April 9th

Online registration for students returning to Bensenville School District 2 for the 2026–2027 school year will begin Thursday, April 9. Families are encouraged to complete registration by May 1 so the District can begin preparing transportation routes.

All registrations are completed through the District’s PowerSchool Student Information System, and parents must have a PowerSchool Parent Portal account to register.

Completing registration on time helps the District finalize transportation routes on time and ensures students are ready for the start of the school year.

NEW Residency Requirement for Blackhawk Students - Students entering 6th grade at Blackhawk Middle School beginning the 2026-2027 school year will need to prove residency. Parents can upload information on the parent portal or bring it to the school office.

For more information and instructions for online registration, visit our website.

Bus Safety Reminder: Camera Monitoring on School Buses

To help ensure a safe and secure environment for all students, Bensenville School District 2 (BSD2) utilizes cameras with both audio and video recording capabilities on all school buses.

The use of these cameras is outlined in the student handbook and Board of Education policy, and is implemented in accordance with state requirements. Bus cameras support student safety by helping to monitor behavior, address concerns, and provide accurate information when incidents occur.

We encourage families to review the student handbook with their child to better understand bus expectations and safety procedures. By working together, we can maintain a positive and respectful environment for all students during transportation to and from school.
