Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) and FutureMakers Coalition have partnered together to develop the Southwest Florida Equitable Jobs Pipeline. This collaboration affords the regional workforce an opportunity to earn a high-quality, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from FGCU, further transforming the healthcare workforce and expanding a strong economic future for Florida.

Admission Criteria

In order to be considered for admission to the BSN Program and accelerate pathway, the student must:


Gain admission to FGCU prior to application to the BSN program

Student must have earned a Bachelor’s degree prior to admission to Florida Gulf Coast University with a minimum GPA of at least 3.0 on all coursework attempted.


Submit the BSN Supplemental Application in Nursing CAS by January 2024 deadline

Complete Anatomy & Physiology I with Lab and Anatomy & Physiology II with Lab prior to the School of Nursing B.S.N. supplemental application deadline.


Complete the Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) prior to submission of the BSN Supplemental Application

The original (first-attempt) TEAS exam results must be submitted as part of the supplemental application. TEAS results must be scored for a BSN program.


Complete all common prerequisite courses with a C or higher

Accelerated Coursework

Courses are planned with the working student in mind, awarding a BSN degree in an accelerated, four semester pathway.


The BSN curriculum is very demanding with a strong emphasis on sciences. Courses will be offered in-person during the week through the afternoon and evening. In addition to coursework, laboratory and simulation experiences will take place on campus in state-of-the-art nursing labs. Experiential clinical experiences occur in a variety of settings across the five-county region.

Career Growth

Successful participants will graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree, transforming the nursing profession, further contributing to a healthcare system that will meet the demand for a safe, quality, patient-centered nursing workforce.


Upon successful completion of the program, graduates are required to work in the region for a minimum of four years.
