BSREF Ranked a Top Performing Fund Manager
Happy New Year 2023!
We are kicking off 2023 with some exciting news - Banyan Street Real Estate Funds, LLC ("BSREF") was just ranked as one of the top performing fund managers by Preqin, a leading alternative investment database. The firm is in the top 2% for performance out of 281 eligible real estate firms, and is one of just five real estate fund managers that have all of their funds ranked in the 1st Quartile (performance is based on a 50/50 weighting of net IRR and equity multiple).
This ranking also places BSREF in the top 2% of Preqin's best performing fund managers across all alternative asset classes - the firm's fund quartile rankings put it within the top 23 investment firms out of a total of 1,320 firms.
To be eligible for Preqin's fund manager ranking, investment firms must have at least three funds with three years of reporting history, and have an average aggregate fund performance in the first quartile. Our third fund just hit its three year milestone this month, and so BSREF became eligible to be ranked. All three funds have performed at the top of the first quartile for their respective fund vintages.
