Faculty and Staff Christmas Gift Fund
It's that time of year - time to thank our wonderful faculty and staff by donating to the Christmas Fund. The money raised is a much appreciated Christmas bonus for our faculty and staff.

We encourage everyone to skip the individual teacher gifts and contribute to the Faculty and Staff Christmas Fund instead!  Donation are managed entirely by the HSA and
all the names of those who donate (not contribution amounts) will be given to our faculty and staff, so they will know you were thinking of them.

Almost 600 stars have been claimed!!! However, there are still over 100 stars on our Christmas Giving Tree!! Please consider requesting a star and help provide Christmas gifts for a child in need.  
Stars are no longer available at church but you can quickly and easily request a star, by clicking here. Or send an email to BSDCGivingTree@gmail.com.
 
Please drop off wrapped presents at church on December 7 or 8.
Or at the school or parish center December 2 - 6 between 8- 3pm. Please use one of the plastic bags available at the drop box locations to bag your donations and be sure to include your star number in the bag. 
 
 
If you don't feel like shopping, you are welcome to make a donation or leave a gift or gift card.

The Uniform Exchange will be open (for trade or purchase at $5 per item) two times this month:
- Monday, December 9,         2:45-3:30 p.m.

- Wednesday, December 18, 7:45 - 8:30 a.m.

Come to the HSA Closet on the lower level of the school to shop for long pants and sweatshirts! Acceptable items for exchange are uniform components that have been laundered and double-checked for stains, holes, broken zippers, odors, and pet fur.

Stocking Stuffer Service Project

Th e 6 th grade advisories are collecting toiletries for the homeless to be distributed at the Blessed Sacrament Soup Kitchen, the Spanish Catholic Center, St. Thomas More, and THRIVE DC. This year, our goal is to fill 300 stockings! We really need your help in order to fill them all.

A portion of the proceeds from all eligible sales will be donated to the HSA. Projects the HSA has helped fund in the past include a technology fund, the week of the arts, and the sound system in the gym.
 
You've got a long list to shop for: your kids, Blessed Sacrament Giving Tree gifts, Kindergarten buddies, and all those upcoming classmate birthday parties. Why not take care of all of that and earn money for the HSA at the same time? Meet a friend. Wander the store with a glass of wine and a yummy holiday treat. Shop in peace. ADVENT WREATH WORKSHOP

Join the Social Concerns Outreach Sunday, December 1, after 10:30am 
Masses in the school auditorium.  
 
Complete a signup sheet (located in church entrances) and include a $40.00 check (cost per wreath) and drop off or mail to Blessed Sacrament Social Concerns, 3630 Quesada St. NW Wash. DC 20015.
 
Since July, BSS has collected $347.80 using the new BoxTops app.
If we can reach $500 by the end of the second quarter, the whole school gets a Dress Down Day!
