Dear Parents,

Welcome back...now it's for real.

Busy week here in the evenings, Back to School for K-5 Tuesday, Home and School (HSA) and School Advisory Board (SAB) meetings on Wednesday night and Back to School for 6-8 Thursday night. It all makes me very grateful for the adults who care so much about this school community. The adults who come up to be a part of their child's education by visiting the classrooms. The adults who volunteer to man the table at Back to School Nights. The adults who sign up for the Week of the Arts or the Bulldog 5K or the Mission Fair or to be Room Parents. The adults who have already given four figure donations to the Annual Fund. The adults who volunteer to serve on the HSA or the SAB. So many people...helping in so many ways. I know that every school community feels they are special...but we really are.

Thank you to everyone who has already stepped up to help out this year. New families, if you came to Back to School Night, you saw the raft of options for volunteering and getting involved. If you didn't find something that hit your sweet spot...I guarantee you Grace McNicholas, our HSA president, would be happy to help you find a niche. If you get involved, you are likely to get more involved and you will have a great time doing it.

Attention golfers and hackers: Be sure to save the date for the Monsignor Smyth Golf Tournament- October15th!
