Dear Parents,

Heeere's the Benefit!

Yes, it's arrived and we hope to see everyone there tomorrow night. Each year the benefit committee spends months planning this event and it never fails to exceed expectations. In addition to the substantial silent and live auction items, each year the committee throws in a surprise or two and this year will be no different. We 'd love to see you tomorrow night and we'd love even more to see you in costume.

Calendar Reminder: Teachers are attending professional development next Friday (March 15). NO SCHOOL that day.

Now is a great time to stock up on extras, find comfortable clothes for spring, and get the right fit for kids going through a growth spurt.

Irish eyes will be smiling at "Sunday is Special-Wearing O' the Green" on March 17th after the 9:00am Mass.

Deck yourself in your green and meet other parishioners for coffee and donuts!

It's Ireland for the day, so let's brave the blustery weather and meet outside the front doors of the church!! (If necessary, due to inclement weather, we will announce an indoor spot.)

Fun for Mam, Da and all the bairns!!!
Interested in enjoying family togetherness in a serene, unplugged environment?
If you are looking for ways to deepen your faith, have fun with family and friends, and create lasting memories for you and your children, we invite you to consider attending the 2019 Labor Day Family Retreat at Camp Maria, Leonardtown, Maryland.
This three-day retreat for adults, families, and children takes place every year at the site of a former camp for girls in Southern Maryland overlooking beautiful Breton Bay (about two hours from DC).  The retreat features daily outdoor mass, adult faith formation sessions with a priest and supervised crafts and sports for the children.  Campers stay in furnished cabins and eat communal meals in a beautiful dining room with a spectacular view.  There is free time for swimming, canoeing, crabbing, bingo and old fashioned fun for all ages.
We are looking for families with young children to join our group in 2019.   Please contact BS parishioner Susan Campbell ( for more information.

A Message from The Home & School Association
Dear Parents,

We're in the home stretch, the Benefit is tomorrow night! It's going to be a fantastic night, I'm looking forward to seeing everyone there. If you can't make it, but would still like to donate, you can do so at

On Tuesday night we had our Pancakes and PJs dinner. Thank-you to Anna Meenan, Ann O'Brien, and Sam Cicotello for putting on this fantastic community building event! We also had the help of some dedicated parents who helped set-up, flip pancakes, make batter, and clean up. A special thank-you to, Tiffany Cissna, Sara Andrews, Kim Cauthen, Erin Sowanick, Cindy Dowd, Paul O'Brien, Brian Searby, Eric Stogoski, Renee Redpath, Bo Christin, Deirdre Christin, and Laura Grimm. This event was only a success because of them - thank-you! We had over 160 people attend the dinner;  what a perfect way to begin the Lenten season!

Myself, and the entire HSA, is looking forward to seeing all you tomorrow night at the Benefit. We'l see you there!

Wrap Up of Last Week's Fundraisers:

Pancake Dinner:  The Pancake Dinner made over $700! Thank-you to all our rockstar parents who volunteered and came out and enjoyed some pancakes!

Uniform Exchange: Last week's Uniform Exchange made $20. Although it didn't bring in a lot of money, it served its purpose to provide affordable uniforms to our school community.
