Dear Parents,

Today we celebrated the life of one of our most distinguished pastors. Monsignor Thomas Duffy shepherded the Blessed Sacrament community for 26 years. He was known as a faithful steward of the church, a thoughtful and wise pastor who may have been known for a gentle Irish sense of humor, often only suggested by the twinkle in his eye. He walked the gym each school morning saying a rosary and praying for the children. In honor of his memory, I would ask that everyone consider helping with something that we all know was dear to his heart, our school.
While we are preparing to apply for our second recognition as a Blue Ribbon school, we are also looking forward to our next school year and planning for our Open House on November 15th. We have always prided ourselves on the education that we provide the children and we want to continue to provide that opportunity to as many students as possible. In light of that, please pass the word about our Open House to anyone who you think would benefit from this special school community. We really want to push for strong enrollment next year...please help with this effort! We look forward to another 95 years.

If you would like to be a more active part of our Open House, we are looking for volunteer tour guides. We anticipate a large turn out and will need your help. Please contact Nancy Ryan if you are interested.
