NOMINATIONS ARE OPEN FOR BTEA NEW YORK’S TRANSFORMATIVE PROJECTS AWARDS


On November 8, 2022, BTEA New York is hosting its Transformative Projects Awards Reception, celebrating projects that are reinvigorating and reimagining New York City.


Nominations for the coveted awards are now open, and the submission deadline is Monday, August 15, 2022.

BTEA NEW YORK’S EFFORTS TO AMMEND CARLOS LAW


Carlos Law, a Construction Safety Bill, is awaiting Gov. Kathy Hochul’s signature. BTEA New York President & CEO Louis J. Coletti recently wrote a letter to the Governor, urging changes in the bill and raising concerns about its potential impact on minority and women-owned contractors.

LETTER IN OPPOSITION TO LEGISLATION ON SAFETY REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS


BTEA New York sent a letter of opposition to State Legislators about a bill they passed to establish a Contractor Safety Registration Requirement for public works projects. BTEA New York voiced concerns about the bill’s unnecessary duplication of a Safety Registration.
