New York State Senator Sean Ryan

Visits the BTEA

The BTEA was pleased to welcome New York State Senator Sean Ryan from Buffalo to our office. Senator Ryan chairs the Senate's Commerce, Economic Development & Small Business Committee. He’s also a member of the Internet & Technology and Labor Committees, among others, and the Select Majority Task Force on Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises. Senator Ryan shared with us the work he has done to secure billions of dollars in infrastructure investments that promote economic development and good-paying jobs, including $1.5 billion for the expansion of broadband coverage. We had a productive meeting where we discussed the many ways Senator Ryan can be helpful to our membership.

DDC representatives also discussed the department’s legislative agenda and other ongoing initiatives. Our thanks to the Commissioner for keeping our members informed.
