The BTER Foundation, in a Joint Venture with Monarch Labs, has been researching leech therapy for the past 4 years. We are preparing to embark on a clinical trial, while Monarch Labs continues to experiment with leech sterilization techniques. To help raise additional funds for our clinical trial, we are making publicly available some of our excess supplies and materials, including leech salt, jars, applicators, etc. Visit our products page (and tell your friends) to see what we offer. You would be hard pressed to find better quality or less expensive hirudotherapy supplies  in the U.S.

Our clinical volunteer force is expanding! Check out the BTER Foundation's recently updated and expanded Therapist Referral pages, which can help connect you with biotherapy suppliers and therapists across the globe.  Listings are still free, so if you are a therapist or supplier, contact us with your details and we will help patients find your services. And if you are willing to take on a student now and then . . . we always have a group of interns looking to gain experience in biotherapy research or patient care.

This year we will be expanding our highly successful Internship training program. We have successfully placed interns into positions of biotech research, regulatory compliance, administration, communication, and videography. However, we are in need of more clinical mentors. If you would be willing to allow a trainee to spend a day, a week, or a month in your facility, please contact us at [email protected]
