  Director's Letter

The beginning of a new year brings feelings of excitement, renewal, and new opportunities. That is how we all feel here at the BTER Foundation. Let me share with you some of the new opportunities we are offering this year . . . .

Our first edition of the new Foundation publication, Biotherapy Journal Review, will come out in late February. The Journal will cite recent biotherapy literature and will include reviews of pivotal studies. The webpage for the reviews,  www.bterfoundation.org/jforum, established last year, will continue to host discussions of those papers. Current issues of the publication will be available to all who subscribe via e-mail or visit the webpage. Bibliographies and reviews of older papers will be available only to Foundation members at  www.bterfoundation.org/membersjforum.

This year we will be expanding our highly successful Internship training program. We have successfully placed interns into positions of biotech research, regulatory compliance, administration, communication, and videography. However, we are in need of more clinical mentors. If you would be willing to allow a trainee to spend a day, a week, or a month in your facility, please contact us at  rsherman@bterfoundation.org.

We have several more programs ready to launch this year, as the BTER Foundation pushes forwards with biotherapy education, research, and support. We will describe those activities in coming issues of this newsletter. In the meantime, Help Us Help You by letting us know how else we can meet your needs.

Wishing You and Yours a "Sweet '16,"
