March, 2013
Greetings!
5051_Earl_Bathurst_Cocklewood_Harbour_(c) Mike Crowe
2013 is shaping up to be one of our most productive years, ever! Thanks to all of the Foundation's members who voted to approve the Board of Directors' proposed Bylaws changes, the Foundation will now be able to expand its Board membership. With a larger Board of Directors, we will be able to better serve patients, therapists, and the general medical community.

If you are interested in lending support and guidance to the biotherapy community by joining our Board of directors, please apply now for one of the two open Board positions (more information later in this newsletter).

Also, be sure to read about the Foundation's new Internship program. January marked the start of our Biotechnology Research Internship, Communications Internship, and Videography internship. Later this year we will start accepting Clinical Interns for training in maggot therapy and leech therapy.

If your clinical practice would be willing to accept one of our clinical interns for one or two weeks, contact me for more information.

Finally, welcome to our new members. We will be updating our members' webpage in the coming weeks, and will acknowledge you all formally at that time.

BTER Foundation Membership
Are you a member of the BTER Foundation?
If so, Thank You for supporting the organization that has brought biotherapy to hundreds of patients, and information to hundreds of thousands. This would not be possible without all of our volunteers and members.

If you are not yet a member . . . please review all of the benefits of membership.

Membership often pays for itself in program discounts. Members qualify for free access to our entire Biotherapy Library (with the cost of membership being less than the cost of ordering one or two scientific papers from the publisher, based on the dues for Community and Student members).

Other benefits include: free educational materials, free insurance billing assistance, discounts on workshops and conferences, and more.
