BMHA Congratulates BTST Services on Opening a New Center in Charles North!
BTST Services, a mental health clinic, is a
corporate member of BMHA that opened its new 10,000 square ft. center, located in Charles North. BTST Services, where
A Better Tomorrow Starts Today, is dedicated to providing the highest level of comprehensive and accessible mental health treatment to children, adults and families in Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Prince George's County and surrounding areas.
BTST's Out Patient Mental Health Clinic (OMHC) provides on and offsite individual / family / group therapy and medication management. Services are initiated within days of the referral and are typically provided on a weekly basis but can vary in frequency according to clients needs.
For on-site services, clients are greeted by modern and well-appointed clinics where therapy, psychological evaluations and medication management are provided. Experience has taught BTST that many individuals seeking mental health services are frequently forced to receive treatment in clinics that are poorly maintained which then fosters and atmosphere that is discouraging to clients and hinders them from ongoing participation in treatment. The clinical spaces are beautifiul and soothing that offers an atmosphere of luxury, healing and calm. Clients are valued and appreciated by a staff that is warm, respectful, and friendly.
The BTST dynamic off-site therapy program has been designed to
"meet you where you are." BTST clinicians come to homes, schools, and the community to bring therapy to the client's door! We break paradigms and use innovative means to reach clients that may not fit the mold for conventional treatment. By meeting clients in their homes schools and neighborhoods, BTST therapist are able to gain a full understanding of the challenges that clients are facing every day. We keep them engaged by eliminating barriers that may have previously encumbered successful mental health treatment such as transportation, physical health challenges or childcare.
Medication management is provided with dignity and respect. The BTST Medical Director and psychiatrists are leaders in the field and are board certified to treat both children and adults. BTST psychiatrists are culturally competent and work diligently to not only prescribe medications but to also take the time to provide psycho-education to the clients and families.
In addition to having BTST Services, the new center is also the location of
BTST Cares which is a nonprofit organization that was was birthed from BTST Services. BTST Cares was developed as a tool to further assist our clients and impact our communities outside of the traditional mental health services. BTST Cares strives to improve our clients living conditions and provide access to resources that may not have been accessible to them. BTST Cares uses the surplus of resources of BTST Services to continue our mission of stimulating and strengthening the local communities.
