Discussion:

A storm is brewing. Throughout 2021, headlines across the nation have speculated about how President Biden and the Democratic-controlled congress would fund a multi trillion dollar infrastructure plan. High income earners and the ultra-affluent have remained in the crosshairs throughout the barrage of proposals, despite the differences in exactly how and when the increased taxation would occur. The proposed legislation in the United States Congress would dramatically change the tax landscape for high-net-worth clients, along with the traditional planning options that have been historically relied upon to protect their wealth. Clients face increased income taxes, estate & gift taxes and elimination of some of the most advantageous planning strategies most routinely implemented.  As your clients’ trusted advisor, they look to you to provide shelter from this storm.

In this webinar, BUI’s Director of Advanced Planning, Brian Seigel, JD, AEP® focuses on the need for immediate action. Brian will summarize the most up to date information available on the proposed tax increases(with plans to update the presentation in the days preceding the webinar) and how they could affect your high-net-worth clients’ planning. He will provide critical steps for you to take with these clients immediately to ensure their plans are as tax-efficient as possible.  Whether you work with one affluent family or have a book of affluent clients, this is a meeting that will provide you with tangible take-aways to provide greater value to your clients when they need it the most.
