The Lord wants us to build a dwelling place for Him, individually, and corporately.
In this monthly letter, the Lord wants to speak to His children through the prophecy of Haggai.

Haggai’s prophecy speaks directly to us today as it did to the people back then.
God is asking His people to build a place for His Glory to dwell.
In Haggai’s day, that building was a physical one. Today, the building is to take place in our hearts and lives, both individually and corporately as His body (the church).
God’s word to us today as believers is that we are the temple of the Holy Spirit (1
Corinthians 6:19). God the Father wants to display His Glory through His people, the church.
God had given the Jews the assignment to finish the temple in Jerusalem, when they returned from captivity. After years they still had not completed it, they were more concerned about building their homes than finishing God’s temple. That sounds like today, many are building beautiful houses, beautiful buildings for themselves but not God’s house. They might say this is for God, but truly it’s for themselves and to look good before men.
Do not put your possessions and jobs ahead of God. We must put God first in our lives.
Matthew 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
Stop and consider your ways!
Haggai 1:5 Now therefore, thus says the Lord of hosts: “Consider your ways!
Are you doing the work the Lord gave you?
Perhaps you have forsaken the work of the Lord going after your own desires and pleasures, but today you have an opportunity to return to the Lord and finish what he has commanded you to do for His Kingdom. Remember it is for His Glory!
It is easier to get entangled in other things than doing God’s will. But our Father wants us to go on and build up His Kingdom. Do not stop and do not make excuses, set your heart on obeying the Lord in just do it.
If God gives you a mission do not be afraid to get started, His resources are infinite, and His reward is great. God will help you!
Yield to the Lord, allow His Glory to be manifest in you and through you.
Haggai 2:6-9 “For thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘Once more (it is a little while) I will shake heaven and earth, the sea and dry land; 7 and I will shake all nations, and they shall come to the Desire of All Nations, and I will fill this temple with glory,’ says the Lord of hosts. 8 ‘The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine,’ says the Lord of hosts. 9 ‘The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former,’ says the Lord of hosts. ‘And in this place I will give peace,’ says the Lord of hosts.”
The nations of the world are shaking right now.
The Lord will fill the temple with His Glory, that is you and me.
1 Corinthians 3:16 Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?
1 Corinthians 6:19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?
Ephesians 2:21-22 in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, 22 in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.
