As you may be planning your year-end charitable giving, particularly in respect to the last round of tax law changes, we are sending this reminder, in the hopes you will remember Hudson Catholic in your giving plans.
Under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, individuals who take the Standard Deduction on their federal tax returns (i.e., not itemizing deductions) are allowed to claim an additional deduction up to $300 per person ($600 for a married couple filing jointly) for charitable contributions made by cash or check to a qualified charitable organization, Hudson Catholic Regional High School being one such IRS-qualified charitable institution.
