Community Easter Egg Hunt

Sunday, April 13th | 3-4:30pm

Join us for our annual Easter Egg Hunt open to not just church members, but our wider community! We will do timed entry tickets (same as Trunk or Treat if you have attended this in the past) and you child(ren) will have time to find eggs, complete a few crafts, enjoy snacks, and take a picture with the Easter bunny!

We are opening the Easter Egg Hunt times to our church families before spreading the news to the outside community, so be sure to reserve your spot HERE.

Volunteers Needed!

Volunteers are needed to help us stuff eggs before the event and many hands are needed to help our event run smoothly. Adults as well as youth are needed to help out - please check out needed positions HERE.

Spring Church Beautification Day

on Saturday, April 5th, 9 a.m. - Noon

You are invited to come and work alongside your friends at BUMC to make our grounds more beautiful. You are welcome to stay for the full three hours or to volunteer your time for just an hour or two.  Any questions, please contact Pat Hamilton at Patham44@gmail.com.

Easter Sunrise Service & Breakfast Gathering

Sunday, April 20th, at 6:30 a.m.



Bundle up and join your church family as we worship our Risen Christ at sunrise on Easter Sunday! Weather permitting, we will gather outside by the firepit to welcome the dawn in celebration. After the service, we invite you to enjoy a light breakfast and hot coffee in Fellowship Hall. If you would like to bring a dish to share, please sign up on the sheet outside the church office. Ovens will be on before the service for any items that need to be kept warm. We look forward to celebrating this joyous morning with you!

Adult Adventure Group

April 27th Aerial Yoga at 2:00 pm at Yoga Essence 14S. Washington Ave., 2nd Floor Dunellen, NJ 08812. The cost is dependent on how many participants ($25-$40) with a maximum of 8 people.

The signups will be posted outside the office.

United Women in Faith Garage Sale

on Saturday, May 10th

BUWF Garage Sale Returns! The Bridgewater United Women in Faith will be hosting their annual garage sale on Saturday, May 10th (Rain Date is Saturday, May 17th).



There will be 2 spaces in the parking lot per seller, and our youth will host a concession stand to keep you and our visiting shoppers supplied with beverages and food. The United Women in Faith will also host a baked goods sale table of homemade goodies for you to purchase and take home!

Family, friends, and neighbors can join us as either buyers or sellers. To reserve your space as a seller, please complete the form below and return it with a $25 check (payable to Bridgewater United Women in Faith) to:

Rise Against Hunger - Meal Packing Event

Sunday, April 27th, 9:30 a.m.

We are again going to pack meals for Rise Against Hunger (formerly Stop Hunger Now). Rise Against Hunger is a hands-on international hunger relief program that coordinates assembly-line packaging of highly nutritious meals for needy third world countries. The food is distributed through the schools, which helps keep the children in school. Of course, education is a means to break the cycle of poverty.

Our goal for this event is to pack 20,000 meals! More information will be updated soon.

Easter Baskets

United Women in Faith will once again be preparing Easter Baskets to be distributed to families in need through FISH and other local mission organizations. Your donations of: Individually wrapped candy and snacks, Small toys, games & books, Teen items and personal care products would be greatly appreciated.  Items may be left at the Mission Closet in the large Easter collection basket now  through, Sunday April 13th. Food Drive Donations



Thank you for donating food to our neighbors. Please bring your non-perishable/non-expired items to the church, and place them in our “Food Bank” containers.

If you would prefer, you can bring your items to the Food Bank Network of Somerset County located at 7E Easy St, Bound Brook, NJ 08805. Thank you very much.

Used Clothing Drop-Off



BUMC will receive a small payment for each pound of clothing that is collected in the bin provided. Please support our church by donating your clean and lightly used clothing, shoes, sneakers, belts, purses, blankets, drapes, pillowcases, and stuffed animals.

(Not accepted: rags, fabric scraps, pillows, toys, books, or household goods.)

Staff Update

We’ve welcomed a new Administrative Assistant to our church office—Colleen Strauss! Colleen brings great energy and enthusiasm to her role, and it’s already clear that she’s a great fit for our team.  In addition, we are so grateful to have Miriam Samuel serving as our Treasurer/Finance Manager since last month. Her dedication and expertise have already been a blessing to our church. As we move forward, please send all finance-related emails to Miriam at treasurer@bridgewaterumc.org, and general office communications to Colleen at office@bridgewaterumc.org. 

Let’s continue to surround both Colleen and Miriam with our prayers and support as they step into these important roles. We’re truly blessed to have them!

Media ministry needs you!

We are looking for volunteers, especially for live streaming during worship services. I need a text volunteer to manage subtitles and someone to control the camera during the live stream. Helping once a month is more than enough. Youth are also welcome, so if you're interested in volunteering, please contact Dohee Woo(dwoo@bridgewaterumc.org).

Stephen Ministry
