New Medical Campus center lead by Avrum Spira, MD, MSc, hopes to speed development of interventions and cures.

Dr. Palmer succeeds Avrum Spira, MD, MSc, and will assume the role on July 1.

The inaugural Joseph Vita professor is nationally recognized as a leading researcher in endothelial biology.

Dr. Barnett succeeds Stephen Pelton, MD, who has directed the Division since 1996.


The investigators will collaborate with Brown University and Lifespan health system in Rhode Island to fund new and continuing initiatives at the Providence/Boston Center for AIDS Research (CFAR).

Weiming Xia, PhD, was one of the researchers supported by the Cure Alzheimer's Fund invited onto the field before the Red Sox vs. Tigers game on June 4.

Per BUSM bylaws and the LCME accreditation, all full-time faculty members must meet annually with their supervisor to review their progress toward promotion, receive constructive feedback and set the goals for the upcoming academic year. Meet with your supervisor as early as possible, but no later than Friday, June 15.
