Active Shooter Exercise Planned for April 25, 11:50 a.m.
**This is a Drill**

On Wednesday, April 25, Boston University's Emergency Management Department will conduct an "active shooter" emergency preparedness drill. The exercise will test BU's emergency response plans. BU conducts exercises like these regularly to ensure readiness to act in the case of a real life situation. It includes a limited number of staff and volunteers, who already have been identified. In addition, the BUMC Department of Public Safety, BU Police, Boston Police and Boston EMS will participate in the drill.

The "active shooter" drill will begin at 11:50 a.m. in the Medical School Library, Instructional Building, and is expected to conclude by 12:30 p.m. Please note that we have alerted our neighbors and first responders about this event and have the appropriate protocol in place to ensure that there is no disruption to classes or other scheduled activities.

Please contact Steve Morash at 617-358-1577 if you have any questions prior to the drill.
