Dr. Willock, former professor and chair of the Anesthesiology department, is the first African-American woman to achieve this status at BUSM.
The assistant professor of Pediatrics will continue to support the community she’s spent a lifetime serving. 
This year's Medical Student Research Symposium, held on Jan. 25, featured posters by nearly 40 medical students .
This student-driven initiative was designed as a way for medical students to interact with faculty and alumni to learn about different career pathways.

  • genomics data
  • data management and analysis for genomics research
  • best practices for the organization of bioinformatics projects and data
  • use of command line utilities
  • use of command line tools to analyze sequence quality and perform variant calling
  • connecting to and using cloud computing

In this interactive discussion, participants will learn about the neurocognitive processes that underlie implicit bias and microaggressions, as well as and some constructive steps to counteract these both personally and systematically.
