Effective immediately, Boston Medical Center is providing on-campus testing thru its Influenza-Like Illness (ILI) Clinic for BU Medical Campus students who have symptoms and are advised by BU Healthway, BU’s SHS portal to its COVID-19 community health services, to get COVID testing.

Ask the Expert

“If I’m teaching (or learning) in a LfA classroom for a long time, how do I get a drink?”

Answer from Judy Platt, MD, Chair of BU’s Medical Advisory Group: “Faculty can step out of the room to a designated eating/drinking location for a drink break and encourage students to do the same, or use a straw to insert under their mask if needed.”

If faculty have any work-related, non-medical questions related to COVID-19, contact BU’s COVID-19 Support Line at covidhelp@bu.edu or call 617-358-4990 weekdays between 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
Updated Classroom Hours

Faculty Action

Post Award Financial Operations reminds you that all Personnel Activity Reports (PARs) are due on Friday, Oct. 9. Additional information on PARs can be found here.
Enhanced Support for Faculty Seeking Foundation Grants

Proposal Development (PD) and Foundation Relations (FR) are partnering to provide additional support to faculty submitting private foundation grants with budgets greater than $100K.

PD will process the budget, budget justifications, proposal summary form (PSF) and signature collections, and direct faculty to FR for assistance in writing non-scientific sections and editing project narrative.

Faculty seeking assistance in identifying and applying to foundations are encouraged to reach out directly to FR. Likewise, PD will remain BUSM’s primary source of assistance with government proposals.

Questions? Contact Julia Huntsman, Director, BUSM Proposal Development (jhunts@bu.edu), or David Gillerman, Director, BUMC Foundation Relations (dgillerm@bu.edu).
