Virtual Support Group for Healthcare Providers Medical Faculty
Not on the Front Lines
Noon-1 p.m. | Zoom Meeting
Facilitated by Roopa Mathur, DO, and Karen Brouhard, LICSW
Not being on the front lines brings its own challenges for dedicated professionals who find themselves needing to step back when they are used to stepping up. Providers working from home may feel intense worry for their friends and “work family”; confusion about how to help and a loss of a sense of self-efficacy; relief coupled with survivor’s guilt, a shift in parenting and family roles, financial worries and other experiences. These feelings may be hard to talk about with others who are facing more immediate and direct dangers. This group provides a safe space to talk about some of these feelings with colleagues who are also caring for patients, colleagues, family and others in ways different than working on the front lines.
