Medical Campus Update

Although many Medical Campus faculty, staff and students appropriately continue to work from home, construction has continued on the new Imaging Center and activity has ramped up on the Medical Campus in preparation for the careful and deliberate incremental ramp-up of research and for the initial return of some students to clinics and later to classrooms.
Particular thanks go to our Medical Campus Facilities staff, Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) and our Building Coordinators who have been making and checking the necessary adjustments based on  CDC Commonwealth  and  University  guidelines to provide a safe environment for our community.
Please  click here  for update and pictures of the changes you will see when you return to campus, and to see the current status of the new, state-of-the-art research MRI going into the X building basement!
As we work remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic, Town Hall meetings have become increasingly important. BUSM has held three meetings: April 7, May 1 and May 12. Please take this  short survey   to help us determine the frequency and content of future meetings .
The nomination states, “I am sure that many BU medical students will become neurologists because of her remarkable example."

Dr. Jennifer Tseng, the James Utley Professor and Chair of Surgery, shares her perspective.
Annual RO Water Shutdowns

  • W-Building, CABR, 7 a.m.- 3 p.m., 6/1
  • 670 Albany St., 7 a.m.-3 p.m., 6/4

All polishing units and other point of use systems fed by the building RO water system should be disconnected prior to this process. Failure to do this could cause harm to your polishing units.

Even though there will be water in the system, do not use the system because it may contain a sanitizing chemical. The RO system will be fully flushed and then will be on and operational for use throughout the building. We recommend that you store in advance any RO water that may be required during the shutdown period.
