Congratulations to the following students for their efforts in medical research, conferences and nationwide programming: 


First-year Students Selected for STARS Program
Reena Bastin and Faizah Shareef will join 48 other medical students from across the country to learn about value in medicine.

The fourth-year student received the "Best Scientific and Educational Award" for her presentation on patient safety that combines the use of a book with high-definition video.


Her goal is to become a skilled and culturally sensitive physician and a curious and avid scientist who helps develop novel technologies to address today's medical needs.
