Researchers, led by Sudha Seshadri, MD, have identified a new set of genes that may be responsible for the two most common and disabling neurological conditions, stroke and dementia.

New research, led by James Pokines, PhD, may one day help crime scene investigators pinpoint time of death.

Minh Tam Truong, MBBS, BSc, Associate Professor of Radiation Oncology, has been appointed Chief of Radiation Oncology at Boston Medical Center and Chair of the Department of Radiation Oncology at BUSM effective immediately.

Anthony Rizzo has been named Assistant Dean for Financial and Administrative Operations and Fredric Majnoun has been named Assistant Dean for Research Administration and Finance at the School of Medicine effective April 1.


Kitt Shaffer received the 2016 Alliance of Medical Students Educators in Radiology Excellence in Education Award.
