CTE Investigators Launch $16 Million Study

Fifty scientists from BUSM and BUSPH, the Cleveland Clinic, the Banner Alzheimer's Institute, the Mayo Clinic, Brigham and Women's Hospital, and other major institutions around the country, launched their landmark study aimed at diagnosing CTE during life.


Professor of Medicine Emelia Benjamin, MD, ScM, provides an alternative point of view about a study that suggests women with a common heart rhythm abnormality may be at an increased risk of developing cancer.


Anna DePold Hohler, MD, associate professor of neurology and director of the Center for Military and Post Deployment Health, was named 2016 Burton Sandok Visiting Professor of Neurological Education.

Professor and Chair of Urology Richard Babayan, MD, was recognized for his significant contributions to the field of medicine and involvement in the Armenian community .


Elaine Alpert, MD, MPH, a scholar in family violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking at the University of British Columbia, delivered this year's lecture, which was hosted by the Department of Family Medicine.
