Information on Camps for Children

The Burlington Board of Health would like to remind parents and guardians interested in registering their children for camp (including day camps), to ask if the camp is licensed and inspected by the local Board of Health. If the program calls itself a "camp" it is required to obtain a license from the local Board of Health. Click here for information on the requirements regarding camps for children or visit the state community sanitation website. To find out if a camp operating in Burlington is licensed by the Board of Health, call 781-270-1955 or email boh@burlington.org.

Psychological Resilience Training

Responding to and helping others cope with life threatening situations can take a toll on those who are providing assistance to others, whether it is through work or volunteer efforts. The Local Public Health Institute is offering a free course on "Dealing with Stress in Disasters: Building Psychological Resilience" for public health workers and emergency responders. Registered Nurses will earn 1.5 CEUs for this training.
