BYSO's Intensive Community Program (ICP) recently accepted applications from 120 young, aspiring string players to become a part of the newest class of ICP students.16-20 of these students will have the opportunity to become an official member of the ICP community, on their way to becoming an exceptional musician.
We are excited to welcome the following new staff members to the BYSO family! David Abraham, Joseph Bozich, Miriam Eckelhoefer, Saralyn Klepaczyk, and Kara York. They have already become an integral part of the BYSO family.
Over the summer, Emi Ferguson, BYSO ‘05, flute, released her second solo album,
Fly The Coop:
Bach Sonatas and Preludes, which debuted at #1 on iTunes Classical.
This summer BYSO hosted an alumni gathering at the Galway Hooker Bar in the West Village, NYC. Alumni from the 70’s to the 2010's reunited and reminisced on their fondest memories from their time in BYSO. It was a lovely evening, and we look forward to more alumni events this season.
BYSO's BYS, REP and JRO attended camp this summer in Maine for 1-2 weeks, working musically, and making new friends. ICP students attend camp each summer as well! It is a great way to get ready for the season!
