BYSO's first concert of the 62nd Season will take place on Sunday, October 13th at 3pm at Sanders Theatre. BYS and REP will perform Dvořák,
Schumann, and Bartok. Join us as we celebrate and experience these exceptional young musicians!
ICP INFO
BYSO's Intensive Community Program (ICP) recently accepted applications from 120 young, aspiring string players to become a part of the newest class of ICP students.16-20 of these students will have the opportunity to become an official member of the ICP community, on their way to becoming an exceptional musician.
STAFF STORIES
We are excited to welcome the following new staff members to the BYSO family! David Abraham, Joseph Bozich, Miriam Eckelhoefer, Saralyn Klepaczyk, and Kara York. They have already become an integral part of the BYSO family.
ALUMNI AWARENESS - Emi Ferguson '05
Over the summer, Emi Ferguson, BYSO ‘05, flute, released her second solo album, Fly The Coop: Bach Sonatas and Preludes, which debuted at #1 on iTunes Classical.
OUT AND ABOUT
This summer BYSO hosted an alumni gathering at the Galway Hooker Bar in the West Village, NYC. Alumni from the 70’s to the 2010's reunited and reminisced on their fondest memories from their time in BYSO. It was a lovely evening, and we look forward to more alumni events this season.
YOU SHOULD KNOW
BYSO's BYS, REP and JRO attended camp this summer in Maine for 1-2 weeks, working musically, and making new friends. ICP students attend camp each summer as well! It is a great way to get ready for the season!
