Recent Trade Shows

EXPO FEST 2019

Fresh off of being awarded Large Business of the Year for the Santa Maria Valley, Babé Farms was out supporting our local community at this year's Expo Fest. With over 100 local businesses exhibiting, the event was an excellent opportunity for attendees to learn about the various products and services they offer. We had a great time meeting locals at the event and look forward to continuing to support our community!

Field to Vase Dinner

Babé Farms was excited to be a part of the 2019 Field to Vase Dinner in Lompoc, CA. The farm-to-table dinner included a field tour of Ocean View Flowers as well as a reception featuring local farms and wineries that donated produce and wine for the dinner. Chef Clark Staub from Full of Life Foods in Los Alamos put together a decadent feast utilizing a healthy mix of veggies from Babé Farms!

LA Market

Recently, we paid a visit to the LA Terminal Produce Market to check in with several of our wonderful customers! We feel it's important to walk the market and meet in person with our customers whenever possible to establish face-to-face relationships. Roasted Celery Root with Walnuts and Thyme


INGREDIENTS
  • 2 medium celery roots (celeriac), peeled, cut into 1½" pieces
  • 2 tablespoons walnut oil or olive oil
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper
  • 1 tablespoon cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons chopped toasted walnuts (for serving)
  • Fresh thyme leaves (for serving)

RECIPE PREPARATION
  • Preheat oven to 425°. Toss celery root with oil on a rimmed baking sheet and season with salt and pepper. Roast until golden and tender, 20-25 minutes. Toss warm celery root with vinegar. Serve topped with walnuts and thyme.
