COMMUNITY UPDATE
First Founder's Day Fest Brings Out Families and Friends to Downtown
FIRST OF MANY: A performance by popular country band Pure Country capped off the evening at Founder's Square last Saturday as hundreds of residents and visitors gathered for a day of food, fun and activites.
Residents and visitors to Babcock Ranch took advantage of mostly sunny skies last weekend for the first annual Founder's Day Fest at Founder's Square. The event marked five years of Babcock Ranch living with music, food and community camaraderie.

If you missed it, be sure to click below to check out a video recap of the day's highlights.
HOA Main Office Reopens Monday
The main office of the Babcock Ranch Residential Association at 42911 Lake Babcock Dr. will reopen Monday after being closed for several weeks for maintenance and repair work. Office hours are 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Our Lifestyle team will continue to work from our auxiliary office, next door to the main building. Community Patrol, operations and administration will return to the main office.
We'd Love to Reunite You With Your Lost Items

Lose something? We may have it in our Lost & Found at the HOA Community Patrol Office at 42911 Lake Babcock Dr.

For example, someone's garage door opener turned up in our office just this week. Feel free to call or email us to inquire about your lost item. Reach Community Patrol at 239.652.8000.
School Admins, Volunteers Say 'Thanks a Latte' With Free Coffee on Nov. 2
The Babcock Ranch community has been a big supporter of our neighborhood schools since the day they opened -- and even before that.

Now it's the school's turn to give back to the community. The school admin team will be serving free coffee and donuts for everyone in Founder's Square on Wednesday, Nov. 2.

Just stop by the "Thanks a Latte" event between 8:30 and 11:30 a.m.on that day to accept your heartfelt thank-you!
Fall Lineup Announced for Babcock Bandstand Series
The Babcock Bandstand Series is underway for 2022-23. Returning for a second season, Babcock Bandstand features a diverse mix of music styles ranging from classical, jazz to rhythm and blues.

Shows are free and are held from 6 - 8 p.m. Fridays under the bandshell at Founder's Square.
Vote at Babcock Ranch on Nov. 8
The general election is less than two weeks away. If this is your first time voting at Babcock Ranch, you’ll be pleased that we have our own voting precinct. This time, voting will be held at the Field House at 43281 Cypress Parkway, 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8.

Voting by Mail
It's not too late to request a mail ballot IF you are already registered. Call the Charlotte County Supervisor of Elections at 941.833.5400 to request a mail-in ballot before Oct. 29. It must arrive back at the Supervisor of Elections office by 7 p.m. on Nov. 8.

Early Voting
From Oct. 24 - Nov. 7, voters may vote early at four locations in northern Charlotte County (two in Port Charlotte, and one each in Punta Gorda and Englewood). Hours are from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.

Drop Boxes
These are now known as “Secure Ballot Intake Stations.” Completed mail-in ballots may be dropped off at any Supervisor of Elections office during business hours, or at the Early Voting locations in Punta Gorda, Englewood, or Port Charlotte (see website).

The Shoppes at Yellow Pine to Follow Crescent B Commons Success
With Crescent B Commons now 100 percent leased, Babcock Ranch is focusing on the town’s newest retail center to meet the needs of residents close to home.

The Shoppes at Yellow Pine, located just across Cypress Parkway from Crescent B Commons, is currently in development and will offer 140,000 square feet for retail, fast-service and fine-dining restaurants, and medical and professional services. Available spaces range from 5,500 to 30,000 square feet and will include patios and alfresco areas of outdoor dining.

Since Publix’s late-September 2021 debut at Crescent B Commons, it has been joined by resident-owned Pi Local Pizza and M’xuma Tacos Mexican Grill as well as Publix Liquors, Clover Nails & Spa, The Postal Place Pack & Ship, The Royal Paw Grooming and doggie daycare, and Stellar Vision.

A full-service veterinary office with an on-site surgical center and U-Yee Sushi are expected to open in the coming months. Future businesses also include a freestanding Pet Supermarket, Great Clips, Kumon learning center, a general dentistry office, NV Realty and a national coffeehouse.
Babcock Ranch Extending Roads into Lee County
Babcock Ranch is building three more miles of roads with the southern extension of Curry Preserve Drive and the new Saw Palmetto Parkway, marking the town’s arrival in Lee County. The streets will enhance connectivity within Babcock Ranch while providing a third southernmost intersection – the town’s first in Lee County – at Saw Palmetto Parkway and Babcock Ranch Road/SR 31.

Curry Preserve Drive will extend a mile south from the existing Cypress Parkway roundabout and link to the two-mile Saw Palmetto Parkway. The new roads run through town property slated for future mixed uses and will offer residents convenient access while bypassing SR 31.
COMMUNITY PATROL
MOUNTED PATROL ON DUTY: Community Patrol Officers Lauren and Doug Merchant pose with Tig and RM before the start of a patrol shift on Lake Babcock Drive. Tig is a quarterhorse and RM is a wild mustang who was adopted from Nevada just last May.
