BBQ King Smokehouse and Mangiamo Italian Restaurant Coming to B Street

Babcock Ranch is excited to announce that BBQ King Smokehouse and Mangiamo Italian Restaurant are coming to B Street! Founded by Babcock Ranch resident Jason Szmurlo, BBQ King Smokehouse currently operates in Illinois and plans to open a second location in the state, serving their nationally award-winning barbecue. Mangiamo Italian Restaurant will feature classical Italian fare in honor of Szmurlo’s wife’s Italian heritage and passion for authentic dishes.

“Our family are Babcock Ranch community members, and aside from falling in love with it, we decided to want to be a part of the town’s success by opening two restaurants that can be a comfortable, local hangout for residents serving great food and hospitality,” said Szmurlo.

B Street is a planned walkable plaza located across from Founder's Square in the heart of Babcock Ranch. It will feature a vibrant array of dining, retail, commercial, office, and residential spaces amidst abundant green spaces. Stay tuned for further updates!

Dream Finders Homes Comes to Creekside Run

Babcock Ranch welcomes Dream Finders Homes to Creekside Run in MidTown. Headquartered in Jacksonville, the publicly traded and locally operated company – named the 2025 Builder of the Year by Zonda’s BUILDER magazine – will construct 226 single-family homes. Dream Finders Homes will offer homes ranging from 1,318 to 3,550 square feet and appealing to a variety of lifestyles, from first-time homebuyers to growing families. The company also offers mortgage and title services and is ranked eighth among Jacksonville’s corporate philanthropists.

Exterior Upgrades to Explorers Park Farmstand are Complete

The farmstand situated within Explorers Park, a fully inclusive park for people of all abilities, recently received an aesthetic upgrade with exterior paneling resembling an enticing farm fresh produce stand. Located in The PKWY, this one-of-a-kind park was partially funded by the Florida legislature and features a playground with custom equipment that allows the imagination to run wild, including an enormous alligator-shaped play structure, a life-size airboat, and special sensory areas including a 3-D simulation of a Florida panther and cub along with a sensory farm park.
