Dear Friend:
Good News!
Working with partners, we recently learned about some exciting grants!
Philadelphia Parks & Recreation (PPR)
has been awarded a
Master Site Development Plan
(MSDP) grant from the
Pennsylvania Department of Conservation & Natural Resources
for Tacony Creek Park. We look forward to this community process and the opportunities it will bring to this critical watershed park and neighbors. PPR also received a MSDP grant for the Bristol Street Park along the new Frankford Creek Greenway!
We're so excited that the William Penn Foundation has funded the planning phase for a River Alive
interactive playful learning installation and signage trail along the creek in Juniata Park, in collaboration with
Habitheque
. And...w
e'll also be collaborating with the
Delaware River Keeper Network
on an Environmental Justice Small Grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for
Finding Frankford: Investing in the Long-Term Recovery of a Forgotten Urban Stream.

Say Goodbye & Hello!
Please join me to wish the very best to Robin Irizarry, who has accepted a position as Fellowship Coordinator with the
Alliance for Watershed Education (AWE).
We're proud to be an AWE center, and look forward to working with him to contribute to AWE's growth. Also, let's welcome Amberly Choi as our new AWE Trail Ambassador! She'll be on the Tacony Creek Park trail, in the community, and in the office, supporting and developing community engagement tools and efforts.
Meet her here.
