Order forms can be picked up at the library or printed from the Babylon Library website.
Orders are prepaid. Checks are made payable to:
Friends of the Babylon Public Library and mailed with the
order to the address listed on the form.
Orders are due by Friday, November 19th.
Plant pickup is Saturday, December 4th from 2-6 pm.
John Theissen Children's Foundation
30th Annual Toy Drive
November 19 - December 20.
Please bring a new, unwrapped toy for children who spend their holidays in the hospital. Our donation box is outside the Reading Room. Thank you for your support!
**Peppermint Scrub
Pick up your kit from December 1 - December 15.
Get the ingredients and instructions for your own body scrub. Kits include: sugar, jar, ribbon, and mica powder. You will need to provide coconut oil and peppermint essential oil if scent is desired. Non- residents may register beginning December 7. Please register for this program.

Holiday Magic & Traditional Cookies of Europe
December 15 - 30 at your convenience.
Whether you call it Marchede Noel, Weihnachtsmarkt, Kerstmarkt, or plain old Christmas Market, holiday vendors take up residence in towns all over the world during the holiday season. Tour some of the best markets in Europe; all centered on the same theme, but each dramatically different. Recipes for making the tasty treats we'll see are included.

Long -Term Care on Zoom

Long Term Care is not only for the elderly. A serious accident can find you in need of ongoing care either at home or in a care facility. Learn how not having a long-term care plan in place can affect your retirement, quality of life, and your family. This information workshop will give you the opportunity to learn more about what Medicare covers, what it does not cover, and will allow you to ask questions. Games in the Afternoon

1:00 -4:00 PM
The community room will be set aside from 1:00 - 4:00 pm for you to play board games (bring your own). No more than 15 people in room. You must wear a mask if you have not been vaccinated.
**Defensive Driving
Saturday, December 11; 10AM - 4PM
Students who complete this 6-hour DDC are eligible for a 10% discount on all vehicle liability, PIP, and collision insurance premiums for 3 years. A $35 non-refundable fee payable to TAAH is due at registration. Check or cash only. Students arriving after 10:10AM will not be admitted. Presented by NY Safety Driving through the Empire Safety Council. Non residents may register beginning December 7. All unvaccinated persons must wear masks. NO WALK INS.
Seals of New York with the Atlantic Marine Conservation Society
Tuesday, December 7;

An Atlantic Marine Conservation Society biologist will introduce you to the seals we see here in New York. You will learn about their environment, the threats they face, and how you can help protect them. You'll also hear about the society's ongoing research.
Holiday Cooking with Chef Rob
Thursday, December 16; 1:30-3:00 PM
Chef Rob prepares Holiday dishes that will be sure to become favorites: Yukon Gold Potato and Leek Soup and Chocolate Snowstorm Cookies. There will be no tasting at the library. Please bring your own containers for food samples. 
Non-Babylon residents may register beginning 12/7. No walk ins.
**Holiday Terrariums
Thursday, December 16 @ 6 PM
Create a beautiful holiday terrarium. We will add soil, succulents and festive decorations. Perfect to give as a gift! $5 program fee payable at registration. No walk ins. Non residents may register beginning December 7. No walk ins.

You will receive 25 trivia questions that you must answer by 11:59 pm on December 18. Babylon cardholders only.
