Dear Class of 2020 Parents,
We are pleased to share an exciting update about the Class of 2020 Baccalaureate Mass. In keeping with the
Archdiocese of Detroit return to Mass guidelines
, we will be hosting Baccalaureate Mass both
in person for graduates only
and virtually live streamed for parents, family and friends at
Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church on Sunday, May 31 at 3:00pm
We recognize all parents would like to attend in person, but we must adhere to the 25% church capacity for Mass. We are extremely grateful to be able to offer our graduates an opportunity for a safe, in-person class only Mass celebration at Our Lady of Sorrows, if they so choose to attend.
All seniors are kindly asked to respond to a Google RSVP form sent to their Mercy email. Please encourage your daughter to respond by Friday, May 22 with her intent to participate. Graduates attending must complete the RSVP form and agree to adhere to AOD guidelines, Our Lady of Sorrows and Mercy High School safety directives. A detailed list of Mass instructions for the day will be forthcoming in email.
A live stream link will be sent via email and posted for you, along with family, friends and all in the Mercy Community to participate virtually in Baccalaureate Mass. Seniors will be honored across the country by Mercy families and alumnae who will light luminaries on their porch to unite and "shine light" on all our graduates this same evening of May 31.
Thank you for your continued patience and support as we work through these events honoring our outstanding Mercy Class of 2020. Stay connected to email for more detailed information.
God Bless our Mercy Graduates!
