Bachelor’s Spotlight - Information Technology and Data Analytics/Programming
Maricopa Community Colleges is developing 2 bachelor’s degree programs in the field of Computer and Information Technology. Our goal is to begin enrollment and registration for these new degrees in March 2023 with classes starting in Fall 2023.
Why are we developing
bachelor’s degrees in these fields?
Arizona is expanding in these areas and wants to attract more high-tech industries into our state to support economic growth but to do so we need the skilled workforce to meet the demand. Offering affordable bachelor’s degrees in this field provide an opportunity for our students to be managers and leaders in these high demand jobs. Graduates of computer and information technology programs will have skills needed within computer-related industries, but also across virtually all public and private sectors, such as retail businesses, industrial firms, major corporations, government offices, health care, and educational institutions. This makes bachelor’s degrees in computer and information technology a great opportunity for our students and our communities.

Although the bachelor’s degrees and exact requirements are still under development for approval, Maricopa Community Colleges offers many certificates and associate’s degrees in a variety of specialized areas in Computer and Information Technology.
