From the [New!] Alumni President

Brr . . . it’s cold outside! Winter has finally arrived for most of us, and it has been fierce! Bitter temperatures have plagued the Midwest. Snow has impacted many parts of our country, including places that rarely receive this precipitation.

For many, winter can lead to feelings of depression and just plain exhaustion. The excitement and joy we had with our celebrations of the Christmas season and our Savior’s birth have taken a backseat as we face the doldrums of the winter months.

Winter can often mirror our love for one another too! Our passion for our work, colleagues, church, and families can sometimes be quite icy. We’re overwhelmed by to-do lists. Everything in our lives seems to squeeze out our love's last warmth. We feel cold to ourselves and others. Isn’t winter great?

Thank You, Alumni!

With joy and gratitude, we announce the successful completion of the Old Main Entrance campaign.

Thanks to the support and generosity of our alumni, friends, and community, we have surpassed our goal of $550,000.

By God’s grace, the project is fully funded, so we will move forward with the final formal approvals and documents as we restore this entrance to Old Main.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to this campaign. Your donations, prayers, and encouragement have made this possible. We give thanks to our good and gracious God in all things.

Any funds received above and beyond our goal will help defray unexpected construction expenses. Additionally, these extra funds will enable us to create a welcoming area at the new entrance to the print shop, enhancing Old Main's functionality and appeal.

Thank you for your continued support and for being a vital part of the Martin Luther College community.

Branson Tour

Last fall, many alumni completed a survey. One popular suggestion was to restart the alumni tours. The alumni association listened! We are exploring the feasibility of a bus tour to Branson, Missouri, in November with Tom's Christian tours.

  • Dates: November 10-14
  • Pick-up cities: Fond du Lac and La Crosse
  • Cost: About $1,700 (price to be determined when we book the tour) Cost includes all hotel stays, breakfast daily, four dinners, two lunches, and five shows.

We need your help! If you are interested in this tour, please complete this short interest form by February 14. If enough people are interested, we'll plan the tour and send more information.

Recruitment 104

Campus map

Do you know someone who may be interested in Martin Luther College but lives too far away to tour the campus?

We offer virtual tours, a great way to introduce the campus to potential students without the expense of travel.

As you share the online campus tour, you can also share your memories. Our alumni are some of the best recruiters around. Who will you recruit today?
