                                                 Back To School Night Recap

Thank you for those who came out on Wednesday, August 31st to our welcome back night.  It was wonderful seeing so many of you getting involved in your child's education.   If you were unable to attend the meeting, here is a recap of topics that were discussed.  Please let us know if you have any questions.  Hope you have a wonderful school year!

Please remember we are a peanut-free school.  We have many children extremely allergic to peanuts, so please keep this in mind when packing your child's lunch.

  1. Our lunch program is a pre-pay only system.  Children must have a credit on their account in order to take lunch.  This year those students wishing to have a second helping will be able to do so for an additional $1.20.  Hot lunch prices can be found in your handbook.
  2. Red polo shirts must be worn on Mass days.  Black, tan and navy pants can be worn, but must not be made from a jean, jogging suit, or warm-up pant material.  Girls may wear uniform skirts and jumpers.
  3. After-school program is available once again this year.  This program is very flexible and can work with almost any schedule.  To learn more, please contact Sue Balcerowski sbalcerowski@stpetersschoolet.org
  4. Newsletters will be going home in the red folders every Wednesday.  This year we are giving parents the opportunity to receive their newsletter electronically.  If you no longer would like to receive a hard copy of the newsletter, please send a note with your child including your email address.
  5. Please consider getting involved, we have many volunteer opportunities including:
    1. PTO
    2. Athletics
    3. Room Parents

Friday Morning Mass, St. Peter's Students
Dear School Families,

The first days of school have been a great success!  The teachers are presenting new and exciting lessons, the children are enthusiastic about learning, and parent involvement is evident all around the school.  We are grateful for the many ways you support us in our mission to provide your children with the academic and social tools they need to grow into independent, creative individuals, who strive daily to give witness to the love of God.

As busy parents, we all want to squeeze as much time as we can out of our day while our kids are in school, whether it be working, running errands, or starting dinner.  Let's remember that St. Peter's School staff also has responsibilities after the school day ends, so please be prompt when you pick-up your children after school.  St. Peter's provides yard supervision until 2:45pm.  Thank you for your cooperation.

Thank you for sharing your children with us.  We look forward to the wonderful school year ahead.  Please continue having a blessed week.

Sincerely,

Sarah Halbesma
