Children of the Night is Back on The Streets With a Warm Welcoming from Southeast LAPD
Our Case Managers are
out on the streets
reaching out to young women
who are forced to work as prostitutes on the
Figueroa Corridor
in Southeast Los Angeles.

Even the pimp/gang members refer to the Figueroa Corridor as "Punishment Row" for the young women who do not behave according to their expectations.

The homeowners, store owners and general community
live in fear of local gang members.

Our job cannot be done without Southeast LAPD
Meanwhile at Headquarters
we have been filming
to update our website.
You will see all of our
services in action.

You won't want to miss this.

We will keep you posted.

Case Management On the Move

So far this year we have
113 case management clients and
50 of those clients are new.

Highlights

So many of our clients needed rental assistance in 2022,
but with the pandemic behind us, we are able to obtain
Section 8 housing with
significant reductions in rent.

David, 18 years old,
passed the GED
and was accepted at
UC Merced for Engineering.
We are working on his
financial aid package
so his dreams will be realized.

Karen who wanted to be
relocated from Texas
has been admitted to Cal State LA and starts in the Fall.

And Sabrina, who has been promoted to a full time
management position at
Walgreens, needed transportation, encouragement and support to take her Driver’s License exam and
she passed!
Now she is scheduled to take the driving exam later this month, and she already has a
car waiting for her.

We already have 8 high school graduates for this year's
high school graduation in
September 2023
at which time we expect to
have even more!
.

We do not sit behind our desks
and wait for our young people
to fall back on the streets.

We are out on the streets and in the community where our children live.

We pay close attention to our young people we have rescued from the street
and we maintain contact with them
for several years.

Children of the Night is unlike other organizations who rescue and dump these children on government social services.

Children of the Night staff is committed
to every little detail required for
transition to a successful adult life.
Private donations make our
life saving work
possible and distinguish
Children of the Night
from other organizations funded by government where
one size fits all.

Our staff stands alone in
their commitment to
the children with whom we work.

We simply cannot do the work we do
without you.

You have supported our efforts to help prostituted youth, and
you have saved lives with your support.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
