Georgia Earns Top Business Ranking for Eighth Consecutive Year
As the world’s greatest golfers teed off at the 2020 Masters Tournament in Augusta to compete for the prized Green Jacket, Governor Brian P. Kemp announced that the State of Georgia has shattered its own record by being named No. 1 for business climate for the eighth consecutive year by Site Selection magazine.
In 2019, Georgia became the only state to earn this distinction seven consecutive times in the history of Site Selection’s rankings, and it is now the only state to receive the honor eight times in a row.

Graduation Rate for Six RCSS High Schools Beat Statewide Average
With Georgia’s overall 2020 graduation rate coming in at 83.8%, six Richmond County High Schools beat the statewide average with 2 schools reporting 100% graduation of their 2020 class. Despite a challenging year for seniors to complete their graduation credits in the midst of a pandemic, we applaud the Richmond County School System’s Board of Education, Superintendent Dr. Ken Bradshaw, and the multitude of faculty and administrators who worked hard to see students accomplish their graduation goals. A total of 1,755 graduates received their diplomas this summer.
Richmond County Technical and Career Magnet – 100%
Davidson Fine Arts – 100%
AR Johnson – 98.9%
