St. Emily and St. Thomas Becket Parishes
January 7, 2019
Dear Families,

Happy New Year!  We hope you had a warm and restful holiday break.  (At least restful after the dishes were done.)

This is the beginning of our second semester.  The progress reports, along with statements of account, are in the mail.  Please let us know if you have questions about information you receive.

As we come into the new year, we have various important events on the horizon.  St. Emily is celebrating its Diamond Jubilee.  The Youth Ministry is sponsoring its annual pasta dinner. And, the next Family Mass is coming up on January 18.

This coming weekend, our Confirmation candidates will be gathering for their retreat.  Please keep them in your prayers.  Often, there is one reason or another why adults were never confirmed.  It isn't too late.  Check here for information about Confirmation preparation for adults.

Sometimes families feel that Catholic schools are out of reach financially.  If you'd like to explore this option for your student, think about applying for a tax credit scholarship to partially offset the cost of tuition.

We'll see you tomorrow, as we begin to explore 2020 together!

St. Emily Diamond Jubilee Dinner Dance
Join us on February 22, 2020

The parish of St. Emily is celebrating its Diamond Jubilee.

Among the festivities is an upcoming dinner dance at Manzo's on February 22, 2020.

The proceeds from the dance help to sustain the building in which your children learn and help provide for the staff.

Family Mass
Join us on January 18 at 5:00 PM

Family Mass is a great opportunity to not only worship together, but to minister together.  It is a joyful and spiritual lift.

Each month, different families sign up to be the greeters, readers and gift bearers for our community.

The next Family Mass is Saturday, January 18 at 5:00 PM.  Sign up here for the ways you and your child can participate.

We will also post any closings at the   Emergency Closing Center.  Please check there to make sure.   You can also sign up there for email alerts that tell if and when the Religious Education program is cancelled.
