NEW! LANIER H.S. GIRLS' SOFTBALL - Thursday, Aug. 6 (6:30pm) @ Lanier H.S.
Good News Church supports the Lanier H.S. Girls' Softball Team, so we also want to get out there, encourage, and cheer them on! Their first home game is THIS Thursday (6:30pm) at Lanier High School. For directions, parking info, tickets, and more, click here.
GOOD NEWS AT NOON HOMELESS MINISTRY - Saturday, August 15 (11am)
Bring the kids on Saturday, July 18 and join us at Good News at Noon, a local homeless ministry in the Gainesville area, where we serve monthly by helping to serve lunch on the 3rd Saturday each month from 11am - 1pm. For more information or to sign up, click here
GOLF FORE FUN SCRAMBLE - Friday, August 21 (12pm) at Sugar Hill Golf Club
This is a great opportunity for golfers, of all skill levels, to get together, make new friends, and have some fun. This is not a fundraiser. It's a "fun"raiser. :) We'll play a scramble (best ball) format, so anyone can play. Cost is $50 per person. Feel free to invite friends. RSVP by Wednesday, August 12 to Drue at 404-906-9117. The vision of Good News Church GA is "to experience and express LOVE from God to others." The verse that undergirds our vision is Galatians 5:6b, “The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.” We value people, community, relationships, prayer, and Bible reading. We also value being able to be yourself. We’re all struggling with something, so there’s no need to pretend that we have it all together.
The mission of Good News Church GA is "to connect with people and build relationships through community workshops, neighborhood-focused ministry, serving local needs, mentoring, and worship."

COMPASSION FUND
Good News Church has s designated fund for assisting those in need (inside and outside our church) of food, shelter, clothing, healthcare, and transportation. We're try to keep a minimum of $1,000 in that fund but there have been quite a few situations of need this summer that we've been providing financial assistance. As a result, the Compassion Fund is depleted. If you'd like to give, you can give online here (in the drop down options, select "Outreach / Compassion."
