Back To School!

Dear Friends,

The summer has flown by! Kids are heading back in school, the sun is setting sooner, and we are all settling into the end of summer pace. We know how hard changing routines can be, especially with children. We hope that with our blog post and news articles below, you can find some helpful information to make these transitions smoother.

If you find that your ex is making these transitions harder than they should be, we are here for you. First and foremost, you and your co-parent should always have your children's best interests at heart. If they are not upholding their end of the deal, don't be afraid to hold them accountable. At Gentry Law Firm, your children are a priority, and we want to see them succeed.

As always, you can reach our office at (770) 425-5573 or by visiting our website at gentrylawfirmgeorgia.com. Head to our Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn accounts to keep up with the latest information about divorce, child custody, and any other general information about our office.

All the best,

Bill Gentry

Which Divorced Parent Files for FASFA?

If you have a child going to college soon, you probably have a million questions and concerns. One of the most important things for a student to do before college is to fill out the FASFA or the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. This is used to determine a family's eligibility for grants, and essentially how much financial aid a student will get at their chosen university.

With a divorce, it can be confusing to know which parent to put down in terms of income and support. According to studentaid.gov, it should be the parent that the student lives with primarily.
