The Best Is Yet To Come

An amazing evening! Thank you to everyone who came out and supported our kids last Friday night at The Strand Theatre for "The Best Is Yet To Come " back to school celebration for our youth. The Strand seats 533 people and there was standing room only. Imagine our kid's faces when they saw the packed house! It was a great night and fun was had by all. There was dancing, singing, acting, awards, and more! The kids said it was the highlight of their summer! It was touching to see all of you cheer for our kids, holding up signs with their names, and bringing them flowers after the show. It is important to us that our kids have the opportunity to shine and feel important and exceptional. Thank you for making it an evening to remember. A very special thank you to our sponsors  Smith & Howard Wealth, Albion Scaccia, The Showcase Group, The Brewster Family, Marietta Hog Chapter, and The Local Exchange.

Miranda Youth Spotlight
Mi randa has been living  at CCYA for almost 2 years and has been chosen as our youth spotlight this month. Since living with us, Miranda has graduated from high school, enrolled in GA Highlands College, and finished her Freshman Year with honors. Miranda is majoring in Education and would like to be a chorus teacher one day. She currently works at Dunkin Donuts and does an excellent job of balancing work, school, and spending time with friends. Miranda sings with the CCYA Choir and usually performs a solo when given the opportunity, she truly has a gift. Her plan for next year is to transfer to Kennesaw State University to earn her degree. In Miranda's free time she likes to cook and visit with her brothers. Just recently at our Best is Yet to Come Celebration at The Strand Theatre, Miranda was awarded Resident of the Year! Miranda leads by example and sets the tone for the expectations in our transitional living program, Life Works. Congratulations, Miranda!
Do You Have a Kroger Plus Card?

You can now help raise funds for The Center by doing something that's already part of your weekly routine! CCYA has joined the Kroger Community Rewards Program. Depending on how often our supporters shop, we will start receiving quarterly donations from Kroger!

All you have to do to participate is register your Kroger Plus card online at www.krogercommunityrewards.comOnce you're set up, you can select The Center for Children & Young Adults as your chosen beneficiary. Our Organization number is 64429.

It doesn't cost you anything to participate! The donations will be coming straight from Kroger. You just have to make sure you swipe your Kroger Plus card when you shop! Individual purchases will begin counting towards our organization 7-10 days after you've registered your card. To confirm that it's working, you should start seeing the following message at the bottom of your receipts:

"At your request, Kroger is donating to The Center for Children & Young Adults."

You do not have to be a Georgia Resident to participate but simply a Kroger shopper with a Kroger Plus Card so please share with your friends and family around the country! If you have questions, please call (770)333-9447 (ext. 116).
