"That in every thing ye are enriched by Him, in all
utterance, and in all knowledge." (1 Corinthians 1:5)
These words were written by the Apostle Paul to those in the Corinthian church. It was part of a prayer expressing his gratitude to God for blessing them "in every thing" and for them being a blessing to him.
To be "enriched" means to be richly furnished. Paul acknowledged that God had furnished them abundantly with everything they needed. He mentions two rich blessings from the Hand of God:
- "All utterance" - the ability to articulate information
- "All knowledge" - general intelligence and understanding
As a new school year approaches, we all put in effort and gather supplies so that our children have all the tools to be successful. Do not overlook the power of God to answer prayer regarding your child's educational success.
God's Word records how others received from God the knowledge and understanding necessary to complete His Will for them. Here are just a few:
- Joseph (Acts 7:10)
- Bezaleel (Exodus 31:3)
- Solomon (1 Kings 3:12-13)
- Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego, and Daniel (Daniel 1:17)
Whether our children's schooling this year is in the classroom, online, or at home, God can overcome any obstacle to enrich you and your children with the knowledge and understanding of each day's lessons to complete His Will. Pray for them and teach them to ask God daily for the needed understanding for all their assignments this year.
