Complete Your Online Re-Enrollment Packets Today!

This step is very important to prepare for the new school year! We kindly ask all families to complete an online re-enrollment packet for each of their children.

While it is called the Re-Enrollment Packet, because it contains important annually required forms and documents, it does not impact your child's enrollment status at school.

Please complete your packet before the first day of school, Monday, August 4th. You can access it online via Q Parent Connection or through the Q icon on the MUSD mobile app. Keep scrolling to learn more about Q Parent Connection.

The purpose of this packet is to review and fill out a few required forms as we prepare to start a new school year together! You can update your contact and emergency information, submit any health or medication updates, apply for transportation services, review the Parent Handbook, complete the Student & School Benefits Form (SSBF), and more.

There are three main sections to complete:

  • Parent Contact Information - your current contact details

  • Individual Student Profiles – one for each of your children

  • Household Forms – shared forms that apply to all students in the household

Completing both sections ensures we have the most accurate information to best support your child(ren) this year.

Watch the 'MUSD Re-Enrollment "How To" Video' for a

Step-by-Step Guide on Completing Your Packet!

If you have questions, please visit our webpage at www.manteca.usd/renroll. If you need help logging in to your Q Parent Connect account, please contact your child’s school office. And if you have any further questions, you may contact us at community@musd.net.

Q Parent Connection

Q Parent Connection is your online parent portal that helps bridge the gap between you and your child's classroom. Throughout the year, you can view your child's transcripts, contacts, class schedule, attendance, and much more!

If this is your first time logging in into Q Parent Connection...

Visit our Login Reminder Page and enter your email address. If you’re already set up for Q Parrent Connection, the system will email you your PIN and password.

If you get an error message, please call your school to get access to all the benefits of Q Parent Connection!

2025-26 Bell Schedules

If you haven’t already, be sure to check your child’s bell schedule for the 2025-26 school year!

MUSD offers full-day TK and kindergarten programs across all elementary sites, with the exception of Nile Garden Elementary, which does not currently offer TK. Please find the full-day program schedules in the Bell Schedule for your school.

Early Release Wednesdays are continuing this school year for the following sites:

French Camp Elementary, George Komure Elementary, Joseph Widmer Elementary, Lathrop Elementary, George McParland Elementary*, Neil Hafley Elementary, Nile Garden Elementary, Shasta Elementary*, and Veritas Elementary.

* Shasta Elementary does not release early every Wednesday; instead, it follows a modified early release schedule on specific Wednesdays, usually once a month.

At these elementary schools, Wednesday afternoons serve as minimum days for students and designated Professional Development time for staff.

Late Start Wednesdays are continuing this school year for the following sites:

George McParland Elementary, East Union High School, Lathrop High School, Manteca High School, Sierra High School, and Weston Ranch High School.

Please note that each school in Manteca Unified establishes their annual bell schedule in response to the needs of their unique students and school communities. As such, some schools do not offer an Early Release or Late Start Wednesday schedule.

Standards-Based Report Cards:

A Continued Commitment to Accurate Student Reporting

At MUSD, students in Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through 6th grade receive Standards-Based Report Cards that focus on their progress toward specific grade-level standards. These report cards shift the focus from traditional letter grades to clear, standards-based feedback that highlights your child’s current progress in their learning goals.

Last year, we successfully rolled out these report cards TK-6 districtwide. Families and educators have shared encouraging feedback about the clarity and consistency this approach brings to accurately reporting student progress, and we look forward to continuing it this year.

Thank you to all our families for partnering with us and sharing your insights as we continue to improve how we communicate student learning.

Goal-Setting Conferences:

Partnering for Your Child's Success

At Manteca Unified, we’ve reimagined parent-teacher conferences as Goal-Setting Conferences- a meaningful opportunity for TK-8 grade families, students, and teachers to come together twice a year to build strong relationships, celebrate growth, and set personalized learning goals towards grade-level standards.

Unlike traditional conferences that review report cards after grades are finalized, Goal-Setting Conferences focus on your child’s current progress and what they’re ready to learn next before report cards come out. Teachers share valuable information such as test data, work samples, and participation, shifting the conversation from pass/fail to partnership and progress.

By working together to set achievable goals, students gain ownership of their learning, supported by both their families and teacher, fostering confidence and a lifelong love of learning.

📆Save these Dates!

  • September 8-12, 2025

  • January 26-30, 2026

Here are "The 4 Questions" to Ask Your Child's Teacher to

Kick-Start a Growth-Centered Conversation:

1) What does my child need to be able to do? – Talk to your child’s teacher about goals for your child’s learning and what skills they’re expected to learn at their grade level.

2) How will I know once my child knows it? – Learn how progress is measured and what success look like for your child’s grade level.

3) What can I do if my child is struggling to understand? – There are many ways to support learning from home! Take a look at these resources from our Student & Family Hub: Exact Path, Khan Academy

4) What do I do to support my child once they know it? – Find out how to keep your child moving forward when they’re ready for the next step.

By working as a team – parents, teachers, and students – we can create a path to progress and student achievement together! At MUSD, we believe that every child can achieve, with the right support, tools, and plans in place.

Building Strong Readers from the Start:

How You Can Help Your Child become a Lifelong Learner

Did you know that a child’s reading ability by 3rd grade is one of the strongest predictors of future academic success? That’s why Manteca Unified is heavily invested in early literacy. This includes strong classroom instruction and a continued partnership between teachers and families to support reading at home and at school.

Did you also know? Missing just 1 to 2 days a month can make it harder for young learners to gain early reading and math skills, build relationships, and develop good attendance habits. Every day counts—especially in the early grades. That’s why it’s important to support learning both at school and at home.

Here are a few ways you can support your child’s literacy at home:

✔️ Read aloud with them daily, even just 10 minutes makes a difference

✔️ Ask questions about the story to build comprehension

✔️ Visit your school or local library regularly

Together, we can help every student build a strong foundation in reading!

Nutritious Meals at No Cost for ALL MUSD Students

Manteca Unified School District is proud to provide nutritious meals at no cost to all students through the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), a federal program that allows eligible schools to offer free meals without requiring meal applications.

In elementary schools, breakfast is served in the classroom during the first 15 minutes of the school day, and lunch is provided in the cafeteria during each student’s scheduled lunch period.

At the high school level, students can pick up a free breakfast between 8:00 AM and 8:25 AM before the first-period bell, and lunch is available from the cafeteria or cruiser carts stationed around campus. Students enrolled in after-school programs can also enjoy a free snack and supper.

We continue to prioritize student wellness by partnering with local farmers to bring fresh, locally-grown produce into our menus. In addition, our Nutrition Education team remains committed to reducing added sugars at breakfast and increasing meals made from scratch to support healthier eating habits districtwide.

Learn About Our Key Safety Terms

Welcome back to a new school year! Now is the perfect time to review key safety terms and what they mean, so everyone starts the year informed and prepared.

To prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergency situations, MUSD maintains a comprehensive Emergency Operations Plan, overseen by a trained District Command Team. This plan ensures a coordinated response and supports a safe recovery process following any crisis.

Shelter-in-Place safety action implemented to isolate students/staff from the outdoor environment and provide greater protection from external airborne contaminants. During a shelter-in-place, students and staff move inside, doors, windows and vents are secured, and HVAC units are shut down to keep outside air out. No movement is allowed between rooms without escort by safety staff. Instruction continues in classrooms.

Example: smoke particles in the air have reached an unsafe level.

Secure Campus - A precautionary safety action of a school campus caused by the potential threat of danger on campus or in the surrounding community. All classroom/office doors are closed and locked, all students and staff remain inside until otherwise directed. A secure campus allows a school to quickly transition to a lockdown if it becomes necessary. Instruction continues as planned. No one is allowed to enter or exit the campus.

Example: law enforcement officers are searching for a suspect in a nearby neighborhood.

Lockdown - A safety action on a school campus caused by the presence of an immediate threat currently on or adjacent to the campus. During a lockdown, students and staff move to the nearest available room and secure the door. All windows are covered, lights are turned off, and students and staff may take additional steps to conceal or barricade themselves in the room depending on the specific threat. Normal operations including instruction stop. No one is allowed to enter or exit the campus.

Example: an individual with a weapon is seen in front of the school.

Evacuation - An action implemented when conditions outside the building or off-site are safer than inside or on-site. Requires the orderly movement of students and staff from school buildings to a pre-determined safe location.

Example: a fire on campus.
