Important Change to DPM School Day Hours
Beginning this school year, we have made a 10 minute adjustment to the start and end of the Deer Path school day. Our bus routes run back-to-back with our elementary schools, so by leaving the elementary school hours the same and changing the Deer Path hours slightly, we allow more time to ensure that DPM bus riders arrive at school in a consistent and timely manner.

The DPM school day will now run from 8:45am-3:45pm.
5th Grade Device Deployment
Incoming 5th graders will be receiving a District issued device as an educational resource. This year we have a new process for distributing devices to 5th grade students in partnership with a parent. The focus of this time will be for students and their parent to become acclimated with the 1:1 device and to explore how it can transform future ready learning in District 67. Students and one
(1) parent/guardian should attend together.

Plan to spend approximately one hour with us in The Cube at DPM. Please start by selecting the time frame that best fits your schedule. Once you click your time frame, there will be specific time slots available to choose from for your arrival time. There is a maximum of 15 appointments per time slot:

Tuesday, Aug 13 : 8:00am - 11:00am
Wednesday, Aug. 14 : 3:00pm - 6:00pm
Thursday, Aug. 22 : 7:40am - 10:40am

Physicals and Immunizations

A physical exam recorded on the Certificate of Child Health Examination form must be completed within one year prior to kindergarten, sixth grade, and for new students entering the district from another state or country. All Immunizations must be completed and up to date according to the schedule of the Illinois Department of Public Health . The exam must be completed within one year of entering school at the required grade.

All children entering kindergarten, second, and sixth grade are required to have a dental examination. A vision examination is required for all students entering kindergarten or an Illinois public school for the first time. Additional information and health forms can be found on the  Health Services page of our website.

Sport Physicals are required each year for students who are participating in any interscholastic or intramural sports at DPM. It is required that the physical examination form be completed before tryouts. Parents and students are also required to review and return a signed copy of the Concussion Information Form if the student will be participating in any interscholastic sports.  Visit the Athletics Page for more information.

Health Reminders
District 67's medication policy requires that all medications be renewed at least annually.
If your child will require medication during the 2019-20 school year, please have your physician complete the District 67 Medication Authorization form. This form is also available through the online registration system and on the District's website. Medication cannot be given at school without this form on file.

If your child will require emergency medication for allergies during the school year, please have your physician complete the FARE Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Emergency Care Plan.

Return all completed forms and prescribed medication to the school nurse at the beginning of the school year.
