Fear should never be the reason for an empty desk
Every year we fill backpacks. This year we’re doing something more.
In July, ICE arrested 175 children in New York City. Fourteen hundred children across New York are facing removal proceedings right now; more than 250 of them are in detention tonight.
- $40 fills a backpack.
- $100 fills two and helps a family learn their rights.
- $250 covers the filing fee the federal government now charges a child to petition for protection.
