FEATURE: Back to School Forms NOW DUE!
Parents: Please check your email inbox or spam folder for an important welcome back email from Academy Hill! Back-to-school forms are required for entry and are now due. Please set your email inbox permissions to accept correspondence from email addresses. This is the best and most efficient way to make sure you receive all important updates and announcements from your child's school.

The 2021 - 2022 academic year marks the 35th anniversary of the opening of Academy Hill School as an independent day school for bright and curious students from throughout Greater Springfield, the Hartford area, and the Lower Pioneer Valley. We are incredibly proud of of our history of creating the next generations of visionaries, innovators and leaders.

Call for Participants: Strategic Plan Committee
Our current Strategic Plan is in need of a comprehensive review. While pandemic safety protocols continue to prevent us from meeting in person at this time, we have made the decision to begin the critical work of crafting a new plan this fall - via a series of virtual meetings.

The Strategic Plan committee includes Academy Hill staff, Board members, parents and other interested stakeholders. At this time, we seek parent volunteers who are able to commit to meeting up to 8 times over the course of the year, with the potential for minimal subcommittee work. The final Strategic Plan will serve to guide the direction of our school and programs over the next 5 years.

If you are interested in serving on the Strategic Plan Committee, please reach out to Melissa Earls, Head of School. The first meeting will take place in late September or early October, 2021.

Regular hours resume with the start of classes, on Tuesday, September 7.

2021 - 2022 Initial COVID Safety Protocols and Information
The Academy Hill COVID Response Team - a dedicated team that includes school leaders, along with medical professionals, infectious disease and public health experts from among our parent community - met to discuss our 2021 reopening plans. Unfortunately, we are not where we hoped to be as we look to September 1. The start of the academic year will include several safety protocols that were in place last year, but there are others that we no longer feel are necessary according to the information available at this time. Parents should check their Academy Hill email for details.

The initial Safety Plan can be found under the Parent tab on our Website. As we update or revise the plan, the latest version will be posted to the website in this location. As a reminder, all families must agree through the Parent and Student Handbook acknowledgement form that they are responsible for reading and complying with the most recent version of the Academy Hill COVID Safety Plan.

Parents: Please see your parent email for an important update from the COVID-19 Response Team that requires your prompt attention and timely response.

Register for Before/After School Care
At this time, we have made the decision to continue our traditional Before/After School Care program only, as we wait to be able to resume the SPARK enrichment classes. Registration for the Before/After School Care program is now available online. Student participation in the program must be prepaid and reserved by the 25th day of the previous month. For example, the September program must be reserved and prepaid by August 25th.

Before Care is $7/day, and begins at 7:30a. After Care is $10/day until 4:00p, and $20/day until 5:00. Please click the link below for more information and to register your child.

Students should complete all summer reading and work assignments before the start of the new academic year! We look forward to seeing your projects the first week of school.
